Welcome! After my corporate job was eliminated last year, I transitioned into the full time freelance world.

Living with less provided the freedom to focus on other passions and I've been freelance writing for environmentally conscious brands and busy entrepreneurs since.

I’m in the midst of another wardrobe challenge-this time a Summer10x10 hosted by Lee of Style Bee and Caroline of Un-Fancy, and I’m mixing the old with a teensy bit of new! To catch you up, the challenge entails styling 10 items (garments + shoes) for 10 days and creating 10 different combos to showcase the many different ways to wear just a few items, making the most of your closet.

The old:

I pulled my 2 year old wedding dress into the mix to style it a few different ways. Fun fact: I bought the dress just a few hours before we were married in a private, little beach ceremony in Key West by our Bed & Breakfast inn keeper.  Read all about our non-traditional minimalist wedding HERE.

The new:

I recently splurged for the Serena Sandal by the local, Nashville brand Nisolo and I HAD to include them in this challenge.  They are easily dressed up or down and I still can’t believe how incredibly comfortable they are.  We’re meant to be and you can read more raves on the brand and sandal HERE. (ALSO-Nisolo has an amazing flash sale coming up if you’ve been considering a purchase. Details coming soon, as well as a discount code!)

My new (to me) Madewell Transport tote I scored on Poshmark may be my all time favorite secondhand purchase ever!  BONUS-it was nearly half the price, but still in like-new condition since the previous owner just had it cleaned and polished! I’ve been carrying it non-stop for work, play, travel and everywhere in between.

There’s nothing too extraordinary about these ensembles, but for me-summer is all about ease, comfort and staying simple.

The knot: I’ve been picking up styling tips for my minimal wardrobe from the #10×10 community and the front knotted tank is a prime example. I’ve seen knots in front, back, sides and on dresses, tees and blouses. I love the pop of interest they provide and how it can make any item more versatile.

See you next week for the final five days + my summer10x10 takeaways!
