Today I’m talking the ultra chic and most classic fall and winter layer of all-the mock neck. I don’t know what it is about this simple staple, but whenever I wear a mock neck sweater or top I feel completely pulled together.
The average individual owns roughly 19 pairs of shoes with men averaging 12 pairs and 27 for women! How does your collection stack up? I just counted 13 pairs in my own closet, and that’s after donating and selling A LOT this past year.
Let me introduce you to FASHIONABLE-another Nashville brand making a phenomenal impact by providing a means for women who’ve overcome prostitution, addiction and homelessness to support themselves. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I’m in the midst of another wardrobe challenge-this time a Summer10x10 hosted by Lee of Style Bee and Caroline of Un-Fancy, and I’m mixing the old with a teensy bit of new!
My relationship with fashion has only recently moved into the ‘serious’ category. I couldn’t commit to a certain brand, only shopped when I had to, and looked for cheap thrills in all the wrong places.
This weekend may be your last chance at some solid leaf peeping in middle Tennessee until next year. Hiking up to a gorgeous bluff overlooking a spectacular golden valley was just one highlight from a recent tour of the Isha Institute of Inner Sciences in McMinnville.
You know that thing you would do if you had juuuuuust a bit more time? Well, lucky you! You subscribe monthly ($14.00) or yearly ($99.00) to have your Publix or HEB groceries delivered directly to your door and into your kitchen (other store partnerships are on the horizon). You order and pay via a user-friendly mobile-app and have your groceries delivered in as little as the next hour! I kind of love being snowed in. I’ve had plenty of time to leisurely drink coffee, watch old episodes of Fixer Upper, and stare at snow falling for hours. A seriously welcomed adult time-out! With such technology driven, on-the-go lifestyles, we forget to slow down and just….be, sometimes. I highly recommend it! Now-we haven’t exactly spent the entire time being blobs on the couch. I thought it’d be the perfect time to take some pics, play outdoors and oogle the cottage style homes in the area. This is what a Tennessee winter looks like ya’ll: Life will resume as scheduled on Monday; slow down, soak it up, be grateful and enjoy the art outside 🙂
